I’ve sailed on the seven seas both privately and onboard luxury yachts as part of my job (yes, it can be rather pleasant). I’ve sailed across the Atlantic several times on a 39 footer experiencing starry nights, dolphins playing alongside, flying fish (latin name Exocoetidae, I learn something every day) landing onto deck, the excitement of tinned food and not least heaps of plastic and other waste in the middle of the ocean. The contrast between beauty and beast is certainly apparent out there.

But sitting in an office sowing together clients’ wishes and demands is still the major part of the job, head buzzing with ideas, problem solving and last minute crisis.
